The Dragons raced into a 17-0 lead after only twenty minutes, however, the win came at a price with wing Gareth Wyatt dislocating his elbow and will be ruled out for two months.
Fly half Craig Warlow gave a polished performance scoring 18 points while forwards Adam Black and Andrew Hall scored and in injury time The Dragons were awarded a penalty try. Worcester wing Aisea Havili scored a superb solo try for Worcester running in from 60m.
Black scored the first try driving over from a lineout won by Ian Gough and Hall barged his way over for a try 13 minutes later to put The Dragons 17-0 up. Ten minutes later Havili responded with his superb effort running in unopposed. The middle section of the match saw Warlow slot over three penaties before the home side were awarded a penalty try after Worcester brought down The Dragons scrum illegally.
The victory give The Dragons a big boost as they face Munster in back to back Heineken Cup matches over the next fortnight.
