The bonus point win moved The Dragons off the bottom of Pool 1 and into third place in the group. However, it was a tale of two halves. The Dragons led 20-0 at half time courtesy of tries by Richard Fussell, Craig Warlow, Ceri Sweeney and Jamie Ringer. Ian Gough claimed a try in the 57th minute to give the home side a 25-3 cushion before Castres mounted a fight back. They scored tries through Yann Fior and Phil Christophers to come bring the score to 25-17 with four minutes left on the clock, however, Warlow kicked a penalty in injury time to assure The Dragons didn’t go out of the Heineken Cup with a whitewash.
