Seven players from The Dragons region have been included in Dai Rees' Wales U20 team who take on France on Friday night.

James Lewis and Gareth Maule are named in the backline but skipper and Dragons centre Ashley Smith is ruled out with a shoulder injury. Among the forwards Jamie Corsi, Adam Brown, James Harris, Dan Lydiate and Lewis Evans are all selected.

Looking ahead to the game Dai Rees said, "The win and performance against Scotland has given some momentum to our Six Nations campaign. But we will have to show improvement against France who will be a very tough challenge.
"France have not yet changed to an Under 20 set-up so their side will be more experienced but we are well aware of the situation and we will deal with that.

"With Ashley injured, it was a case of a straight swap with Richard Thomas to partner Gareth Maule in the centre and Hugh (Gustafson) was a natural choice for captain. Rhys Jones has played Guinness Premiership rugby for Sale Sharks at both full back and outside half so I have no worries about picking him at 15.

"We are still looking at various combinations within this squad. James Lewis has experience on the wing at Under 19 level so I wanted to try out that option."
