Dragons Share Coaching with the Region
Dragons coaching trio Paul Turner, Leigh Jones and Dai Rees, share their coaching expertise with rugby clubs in the region, holding coaching sessions at Rodney Parade with district coaches and visiting Whiteheads, NHSOB and Cross Keys rugby clubs throughout April.
Newport Gwent Dragons players have also played a part in the promotion of rugby coaching within the region. Joe Bearman and Ashley Smith supported the session at Whiteheads RFC on Wednesday 3 April and Adam Black and Joe Bearman attended the session at NHSOB last night.
Grand Slam winning Dragons prop Rhys commented:
“The session was a huge success at NHSOB. Paul, Leigh and Dai coordinated a coaching session with their first team and all of the coaching staff at the club, while Adam and I were on hand to answer any questions.
“It was a good opportunity to share the hard work that goes on here at the Dragons with the rest of the region and I felt that everyone benefited from the evening.”
