Season Ticket Holders Go Free
Newport Gwent Dragons Season Ticket Holders are invited to Rodney Parade for free as the Dragons take on the Saracens at home on Friday 22 August, kick-off 7.30pm.
Preseason preparations are in full swing before the Dragons welcome the Saracens – and former Dragon Michael Owen – to the Parade for next month’s friendly yet feisty clash.
The squad will kick off their preseason campaign at the Uskmouth Power Men of Gwent Sevens on Saturday 2 August before flying to Belfast for an intense training programme.
The Dragons will also clash with Bedford Blues at Goldington Road on Friday 15 August and meet London Irish in Europe's leading Middlesex 7's tournament at Twickenham on Saturday 16 August.
Chief Executive Gethin Jenkins is excited about the coming season at the Newport Gwent Dragons. He said:
“We’re really excited about the forthcoming season and believe that we’ve got a great mix of experience and emerging Welsh talent here at Rodney Parade.
“Our preseason fixtures - away to Bedford, participating for the first time in the Middlesex 7s and at home to the Saracens - will be a great warm up for the season opener against Glasgow Warriors in September.
“The Saracens now have Eddie Jones on board as Coach and their players, like ours, will no doubt be looking to impress at Rodney Parade on Saturday 22 August.
“We look forward to welcoming back Michael Owen for this exciting occasion and are pleased that all Season Ticket Holders will have free access to this match as we thank them for their continued support.”
