The Dragons under 18s kept alive their hopes of reaching the WRU age Grade Championship final with a 13-8 victory over the Ospreys at the Welfare Ground, Newbridge.
A try from debutant scrum half Danny Newlands was all that seperated the sides with Lewis Roblin kicking a conversion and two penalties to a Tom Priday penalty and Matthew Morgan try.
The region takes on league leaders the Scarlets on december 3rd knowing that victory will assure them of a place in the final.Team manager Billy Vyvian said;
"It was a tight affair, from start to finish. However, the boys stuck in there and deserved the points.
"It is a real race for the final places and at least we are in there with a chance."
The under 16 game between the Ospreys and Blues North ended in a 15-0 victory for the North.
