Craig Hill’s Newport RFC took the spoils on Saturday in the Worthington’s Men of Gwent sevens tournament at Rodney Parade.
The Black and Ambers beat the invitation side, the Welsh Wizards 20-7 in the final of the tournament which saw 12 sides from the region competing in a full afternoon of sevens rugby.
Paul Jarvis of from the Wizards side was voted Player of the Tournament.
