The Newport Gwent Dragons community department have teamed up with the University of Wales, Newport and First Campus to run activities for all the family. (Suitable for children aged 8-14 and parents/careers to take part at the same time.
The 12 week-long programme of activities kicks off on Monday 19th January, 4.00 to 6.00pm at Rodney Parade. It is designed to develop skills and knowledge of lifestyle & health with a rugby twist!
The adults take part in an accredited Health and Lifestyle module, while the children take part in other activities so while the adults are learning the children are having fun (and learning!). The children's activities include a tour of the stadium, meet and interview Dragons players and participate in the Regional club expereince as well as taking part in numerous health related skills and activities sessions.
