Over 50 coaches from the region attended a coaching clinic given by Newport Gwent Dragons attack coach Lyn Jones at Tredegar RFC.
The indoor workshop and Q & A session entitled “Game Principles and Core Values,” was the second clinic given by Jones. “It’s been really enjoyable to give these sessions,” he said. “If passing on the lessons I have learned over the years helps a few of these coaches with their development of players who are, after all, the future of rugby in the region, that’s something to be proud of”
Paul Doubler of sponsors Worthington’s said; “The event was very well received by the large number of coaches present.
“Lyn Jones certainly enthused and I am sure inspired by his passion for our great game and the wonderful insights and tips and guidance he passed on.”
The Coaching Association in conjunction with Newport Gwent Dragons are hosting a series of sessions which are free for all rugby coaches in Gwent.
The next session is planned for 6 May at Caerphilly RFC
