With the Blues and Scarlets under 18s heading for the final of the WRU Age Grade Championship, the Ospreys and Dragons under 16s will be looking to break the pattern when round six of the junior competition takes centre stage this evening (Wednesday).
The Dragons, who have enjoyed mixed fortunes so far this season, will be seeking to complete the double over Blues North when the sides meet at Tredegar’s Recreation Ground, whilst the Ospreys make the journey up the M4 to face Blues South at Taffs Well.
Both games promise to be tight affairs with Dragons team manager Wayne Pugh hoping that his side can keep themselves in contention by adding to the impressive victory they achieved at Merthyr back in September.
“To go away from home and win, especially at the North, was a terrific result for us,” he said. “However, we need to make home advantage count tonight and keep ourselves right up there.
Admittedly, we have lost one or two games we should have won this season, but this is a golden opportunity for the boys.”
