Paul Turner has selected a largely developmental side for tonight’s encounter with Worcester Warriors at Sixways.
The side, which is captained by Newport’s Alex Jones, is a combination of Dragons and Premiership players from within the region.
Speaking of his selection, Turner said: “It’s a development side which is part of our on-going process.
“We have been hit by quite a few injuries but most of these players have trained with the Dragons in the summer. It will be interesting to see how they acquit themselves against Worcester Warriors because many of the guys who are at Newport will be facing them again in the British and Irish Cup.
“Worcester have picked a good side and it will be a big test for us.”
