The Dragons U18s kick-off their regional campaign tomorrow with the visit of the Blues U18s to Rodney Parade (Kick-off 7.15).
Dragons Performance Development Manager, Will Thomas, said: “There’s a new coaching set-up with Paul Young and Shaun Connor taking up the reins. In the front row with Ben Edwards and Dan Goode there are two Welsh caps and we have a contingent of Welsh exiles in the side; including Ben Edwards and James Sawyer from London, and Lance Randall and Josh Everett from Gloucester.
“The team have had two pre-season friendlies against Filton College and a Bargoed Development team, notching up two wins.
“But it will be a step-up and the Dragons will find it tough against last year’s regional winners who have already won their first game with a comprehensive 69-24 win over North Wales U18s. The boys have had a hard couple of weeks of training and preparation and are looking forward to getting their campaign underway against last year’s Champions.”
