The Dragons hosted Ospreys at Crosskeys RFC on Sunday 21st November in what was an exciting and end to end game, with the Dragons running out 25-3 winners.
The Dragons settled first half nerves with a penalty just outside the 5m
line taken with accuracy by Yasmin Leung.
The Ospreys defended well but the Dragons forwards led by the inspirational
Jamie Kift sucked in their defensive line with a series of penetrating runs
from Rhian Bowden and Caryl Thomas. It was Kift who drove over the line to
score the first try with a successful conversion from Yasmin Leung
The Ospreys replied with some good handling and drives from the forwards to
secure a penalty which was successfully converted by Bethan Preece.
The second half saw some excellent scrummaging from the Dragons and some
lovely interlinking play to see Leila Johns scoring in the corner.
Another successful penalty was awarded to the Dragons. A slick win from
the lineout and a good handling in the backs saw wing Naomi Wybrow going
over to score with a final successful conversion from Yasmin Leung.
