The Dragons take on the Ospreys at under 16 and under 18 levels in tonight's WRU Regional Age Grade Championship.
Both sides performed well before finishing on the losing side in their respective matches last week, the under 16s at Parc y Scarlets and the under 18s against the Scarlets at the Welfare Ground, Newbridge.
Tries from Dominic Franchi, Jack Williams and Elliot Dee put the Dragons under 18s in with a real chance of adding to their success over RGC 1404, 10 days previous. Unfortunately, Scarlets outside half Jordan Williams helped himself to 21 points to leave the Dragons with only a losing bonus point to show for their considerable efforts.
It promises to be an equally testing evening for both sides with the Ospreys under 16s seeking a fifth successive victory and the under 18s far better than their recent results suggest.
Under 18 team manager Wayne Pugh said; "There were plenty of mistakes last week and a bit of indscipline too. However, I think we have a decent side this year and they will certaily give it a go against the Ospreys."
Blues North under 16s go in search of a fourth successive home victory of the season when they take on Blues South at Abercwmboi. A Shaun Clarke try and a penalty from Jarrod Evans was not enough to earn victory at the Ospreys last week, but with home advantage in their favour, they will fancy their chances of inflicting a third defeat of 2010 on a South side whose only victory came at RGC 1404 10 days ago.
In their three home games to date, the North have scored 84 points with Matthew Jeczalik leading the way with three tries. The South, in contrast, have found points difficult to come by although their victory over RGC 1404 saw them chalk up 22 points thanks to tries from Davi Davies (2) and David Gooding.
