Newport Gwent Dragons are giving their support to Cross Keys ahead of this Saturday’s British & Irish Cup semi final at Pandy Park (3:00pm).
Cross Keys are the only remaining Welsh representative in the competition and face English Championship side Cornish Pirates for the chance to make the final against either Leinster A or Munster A.
Cornish Pirates will be tough opposition for Keys, having beaten them in Penzance earlier in the tournament and are the only side left in the tournament to have won all of their pool games.
This evening Dragons head coach Darren Edwards will attend Keys’ training as the Dragons give their backing to their representative in the competition. “Cross Keys have been really impressive in this competition so far and have recorded some notable wins both at Pandy Park and on the road. They have done our region proud and are the only side left representing Wales in this competition so it is important that we support them however we can and hopefully they can come away with the win. It will be a great experience for some of these guys to play in a game like this and hopefully it will drive them on to be future Dragons.”
Ticket for the game are priced as £15 for the Stand and £12 for Field so get down and support the only remaining Gwent side in the competition and hopefully cheer them into the final.
