Following an appeal hearing, the decision to award a bonus-point win to Saracens for the postponed LV= Cup match against Saracens has been quashed with the match instead being awarded a 0-0 draw and the region’s suspended fine being reduced from £10,000 to £5,000
Dragons interim Chief Executive Chris Brown said “We are obviously disappointed that the game against Saracens cannot be re-scheduled but we are pleased by the ruling of the Appeals Panel in this matter.”
The fixture was postponed when the Rodney Parade pitch froze in overnight temperatures of -8°C despite having pitch covers over the pitch and double covers in vulnerable areas.
All tickets purchased for this match can either be exchanged for any remaining game this season or refunded.*
The Dragons are offering all season ticket holders a complimentary ticket to bring a friend for one of our remaining fixtures.*
Also, as the LV= Cup matches were free to junior supporters this season, we would also like to offer all Junior ticket holders for the Saracens game the opportunity to transfer their free Junior tickets to another match.*
