Newport Gwent Dragons have named a 28-man squad for their final LV= pool match against Saracens at Rodney Parade on Friday (3rd February 7:30pm).
The Dragons have retained the majority of the starting line-up from last week in the squad. However, a number of the more senior members of the Dragons squad are recalled after being given a rest last weekend against the Ospreys in Bridgend in favour of blooding some Academy and Premiership players.
Centre Ashley Smith and back rowers Gavin Thomas and Tom Brown are all named in the squad after returning to from injury.
Last weekend the Dragons narrowly missed out by 26-21 against the Ospreys at the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field with tries coming from Pat Leach and Luke Williams. Whilst, they can mathematically still qualify for the semi-finals of the LV= Cup, the Dragons would need a bonus point win and still have to rely on both Northampton and Exeter losing heavily at home.
