In between preparing for the new season with gruelling training sessions care of new Director of Rugby, Lyn Jones, the stars of the Newport Gwent Dragons squad are looking forward to a slightly more relaxed – but no less competitive! - afternoon of sport on Tuesday 16 July as Llanwern Golf Club plays host to the annual pre-season golf day.
The Dragons Golf Day is being run in association with local charity Ty-Hafan who provide comfort, care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families throughout Wales. They are a helping hand to these families; with them every step of the way if they so wish, including giving them a sense of normality; to become a family once again.
Llanwern Golf Club is one of the oldest in South Wales. The teams will have to tackle an eighteen-hole, par 70 parkland course on the outskirts of Newport, in the middle of beautiful wooded countryside.
Teams will consist of three players each, plus a randomly selected Dragon. Play will start at 2pm with a shotgun start, the price is £250 + VAT per team.
