Welsh Internationals dominate Dragons squad

The Newport Gwent Dragons face another Welsh derby this Easter weekend against rivals the Scarlets, during Judgement Day at the Millennium Stadium.

Both Andrew Coombs and Toby Faletau have been named in the squad alongside Dan Lydiate, who returned from injury last weekend to play 40 minutes against the Ospreys. Second Row Rob Sidoli also returns to the squad and to the location of a career highlight, after he helped bring an international Grand Slam to Wales in 2005 for the first time in 27 years.

"The Millennium Stadium is a special place for both the players and the fans and it's a great concept to have these two derby matches here on the same day, the atmosphere will be amazing," said Sidoli.

"We've seen how well this Welsh side has done and enjoyed watching them. It lifts everyone mentally to see Wales do well and the players who have returned to train with the Region have really boosted us and I think we have a role to play in energising them as well.”

The men of Gwent also see Aaron Coundley stepping up to the plate after he started for Newport RFC in their close encounter against Aberavon on the 14th March.

Dragons skipper Lewis Evans has not been included in the squad because of a calf injury that he sustained during his last match at the Liberty Stadium against Ospreys.
