Winger Wardle came through Bedwas RFC before securing a contract with the Dragons last season. Ross made his debut for the Dragons an unforgettable one as he also scored his first try when the regional side took on Bath Rugby last season.
Wardle commented, “It’s a proud moment because this year has been like a trial for me but it has paid off as I have pledged to the club until 2017. I am excited to be playing for the Dragons and hopefully I can help the club out with a few more wins.”
Young gun Jack Dixon, who became the youngest player to make a Welsh regional rugby appearance when he came off the against London Wasps in October 2011 at just 16 years 313 days, has also penned a new contract of three year with the Dragons.
Dixon said, “It’s really exciting to have signed for another three years. It’s a great club and they have done a lot for me since I started so I look forward to being here for the next few years.”
Prop Dan Way has also followed suit and re-signed for the men of Gwent. Before this Dan played for Swindon RFC before joining Pontypool and later Blackwood RFC and then joined Newport and before the Dragons.
At the end of this current season Dan will have finished his qualifying for Wales period, as he has been with the club for three years whilst also living in Wales at the same time.
Dan Way said, “It’s great that I have re-signed for the Dragons. I can now 100% focus on my game rather than worrying about contracts, I am really looking forward to playing here over the next three years.
Director of Rugby Lyn Jones added, “It’s important that we identify key players. All these players have potential and now have an opportunity to show consistency and improve on their skills this season.
“I am very pleased with the direction of Newport Gwent Dragons and it’s crucial that we get the right people on board. These three players have big futures ahead of them in the game.
"In recent years, Gwent have failed in supplying players into the National squad and we must reverse that trend. My target is to dramatically increase our current contribution by the end of my tenure here."
