Director of Rugby Lyn Jones and skipper Lee Byrne were in attendance for the Dragons alongside the 11 other clubs’ captains and coaches.
The launch was hosted by Alex Payne, Sky Sports rugby presenter, on behalf of the PRO12s new primary broadcaster.
It’s a league that boasts a total of 227 international players from 14 countries, all looking to secure a place in their national squads ahead of next year's Rugby World Cup.
The men of Gwent will begin their season with a clash against Connacht in Galway on Saturday 6th September before heading home for three consecutive games at Rodney Parade. The first Welsh derby of the Guinness PRO12 will take place in Round 2 as the Dragons meet Ospreys on Friday 12th September, KO 19:35. In Round 3 the Dragons take on Glasgow Warriors, on Saturday 20th September, KO 14:40. They then play their last home game in September as Italians Benetton Treviso, pay a visit to Rodney Parade on Sunday 28th September, KO 16:00.
