This is will be the Dragons third and final friendly before the Guinness PRO12 tournament begins against Connacht on Friday 4th September, KO 19:30 at the Sportsground.
The Men of Gwent successfully took on Nottingham Rugby at Ystrad Mynach to begin their series of friendlies and last weekend missed out to the Scarlets at Rodney Parade.
The extended squad sees the inclusion of Nick Crosswell, who has returned to full fitness after suffering a blow to the knee against the Scarlets as well as Dragons academy product Barney Nightingale. Whilst newcomers Adam Warren, Nick Scott, Sarel Pretorius, Charlie Davies, Shaun Knight and Ed Jackson are also included in the squad.
New recruit Ed Jackson, feels that training has stepped up a notch as the season approaches: "There's definitely a feeling that the first league game is around the corner and intensity has picked up in training.
"The way pre-season pans out is that at first it's a learning process but now we are in the nitty gritty so that we can go full pelt. There is a bit more detail and trying to ingrain habits that we want for the season.
"There's only one game left now and everyone wants to be involved against Connacht.
