The North squad began their season with a difficult fixture against Blues South; after a long fought battle the Blues outshone the home side with a win of 7-58. Next up for North was a trip West where the Ospreys East wanted to continue their winning streak. Once again the Dragons North side, were overturned by another strong U16s side which resulted in a loss of 24-19. With the championship out of reach and just three games left, the Dragons wanted to change tact and this time it paid off against RGC East. In a game where the Dragons scored five tries, things looked to be on the up for the Gwent side. But coming up against the Scarlets East it proved to be a difficult task, as they lost out to the home team with a score that ended on 19-14.
The South on the other hand, began their season in spectacular fashion as they took on RGC West and beat them 36-0. Next up for the South side were the Ospreys West and the Dragons began the match with two tries in under 20minutes, but despite this effort from the home team the Ospreys came out on top as they scored three tries and added a conversion, ending the scores on a close 12-17. The Dragons looked to improve on this performance as they took on Blues North, but unfortunately for the Dragons they were beaten at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park, 46-14. The following week the Dragons took on Scarlets West and it was the home side that prevailed in the end as the Dragons denied the Scarlets in their final game.
