The day is the pinnacle of the Welsh club rugby season with six clubs from around Wales battling it out in the SSE SWALEC Cup, Plate and Bowl at the home of Welsh rugby. With the four professional regions taking part in a record Judgement Day spectacular on Saturday, the spotlight is on the clubs on Sunday in a day-long celebration of what is best about the semi-professional and grassroots game.
Burry Port and Taffs Well kick off the day's rugby action in the SSE SWALEC Bowl Final at 1pm, while local rivals Bedlinog and Penallta will battle it out for glory in the SSE SWALEC Plate at 3.15. The main event, SSE SWALEC Cup Final takes place at 5.35 when 2007 champions Llandovery will take on 2010 finalists Carmarthen Quins in an all-Scarlets shoot-out.
There is something for everyone on the day with family, communities and talent at the heart of everything the day. Wales' record try scorer Shane Williams will be one of the special guests in the Fanzone on Level 3, signing autographs and answering fans questions in his new role as SSE SWALEC Brand Ambassador. He will be joined by Wales internationals Gareth Davies, Rob Evans, Cory Allen and Josh Turnbull. Throughout the day there will be face painting, live music, giveaways and photo booths to keep supporters entertained in between games.
Coach companies from Bedlinog to Burry Port have been inundated with demand to bring supporters to Cardiff on Sunday and club secretaries and chairmen have been selling tickets from clubhouses and at training sessions since tickets were issued last week.
Tickets for SSE SWALEC Finals Day are just £10 for adults, £5 for Under 16s and are available from www.wru.wales/tickets or from the finalist clubs.
