The new deal sees the firm’s logo added to the official home and away shorts of Newport Gwent Dragons, as well as sponsoring scrum-half Charlie Davies and number 8 Ed Jackson until the end of the current season.
The Bristol based company, with clients across Wales, specialises in executive coaching and leadership training, helping clients realise their full potential. It has 13 years of experience with global corporate clients across many industry sectors, as well as large public sector organizations and SMEs.
Jill Maidment, Director of Natural Talent, commented: “It is a real pleasure to sponsor the Dragons this season and it feels like a natural partnership as there is synergy between the way the Dragons identify and develop young regional talent, such as Hallam Amos, Jack Dixon, Ashton Hewitt, Tyler Morgan, and the work we carry out at Natural Talent to assess talent and develop managers and leaders to reach their full potential.
"Coaching and Rugby are amongst my main passions in life and I often talk about the correlation between rugby and business, especially when it comes to leadership, coaching and teamwork.
“When I started the company I called it Natural Talent because I believe very strongly that everyone has natural talent, is good at something and that anyone can realise their true potential. In order to do so they need assistance in identifying their key strengths, what they need to develop and how they can set goals to become more successful; this is the same in rugby as in business.”
She continued: “I am passionate about the opportunity rugby provides for individuals from every background as well as the obvious transferable skills and values from rugby into business, such as conflict management, resilience, teamwork, respect.
“It is also great to sponsor Charlie Davies and Ed Jackson; both are exciting players to watch and use their experience from playing in the English Premiership well.”
Newport Gwent Dragons’ Commercial Director, Pete Grzonka added: “I am delighted to welcome Natural Talent as a new sponsor of the Newport Gwent Dragons. Jill (Maidment, Director of Natural Talent) has been a long-time supporter of the Region and her passion for rugby is obvious.
“There are strong parallels between the sport of rugby and the business world such as recognising and nurturing talent, instilling a constant desire to improve, team work and goal setting.
“Alongside the exposure for Natural Talent offered by the sponsorship, to further cement this relationship, Jill has agreed to lend her expertise to work with the Rodney Parade Commercial staff to offer personality testing and professional development. We are a small group of people with a diverse range of backgrounds and experience so I look forward to Jill’s insight into how we can work more together even more effectively.”
