The event in the Business Suite builds on the success of last season's event, where over 280 guests joined celebrations alongside Dragons players and staff.
Rodney Parade Commercial Director Pete Grzonka said: “The End of Season Dinner and Awards Ceremony is one of our biggest nights of the year. It is always an enjoyable and entertaining night as it gives us a chance to look back on the highs and lows of the season as well as to celebrate individual achievements.
“This is what sets rugby aside from other sports in allowing supporters and sponsors a chance to enjoy an evening together with players and staff.”
Newport Gwent Dragons’ shirt sponsor Worthington’s will again be sponsoring the evening. Worthington’s is the number one Ale in Wales, and produced by Newport Gwent Dragons’ brewery partner Molson Coors. It has a long-standing history of supporting rugby at all levels in Wales from grass-roots to the professional game.
An awards presentation will take place to recognise the Supporters Player of the Season and Players Player of the Season. The Dragons Try of the Season will also be awarded after being voted for by guests on the night. An auction and raffle will take place to raise money for St David’s Hospice Care, Newport Gwent Dragons Charity of the Year. The night will finish with entertainment and live music.
Tickets are priced at £42 per head (+VAT) and include a four course sit-down meal and welcome drink. Guests will be seated at tables of ten, each of which will be hosted by two members of the current Dragons squad.
