The ride built on the huge success of last year’s ride, which raised over £12,000. St David’s Hospice Care looks after 3,000 patients across the Dragons Region in their hospices, day care centres and at home.
Dragons Commercial Sales Manager Dai Jenkins said:
"We have struck up an excellent relationship with St David’s Hospice Care over the last couple of seasons and are incredibly proud to support a charity that does so much great work within our Region.
"We are grateful to all the riders who battled the heat this weekend to complete the ride and raise their sponsorship."
Yesterday riders started from Pendine and travelled to Swansea (67 miles) to stay in the Village Hotel, Swansea Marina. This morning riders travelled from Swansea to a lunch stop in Ogmore before heading Rodney Parade (70 miles). Friends and family welcomed riders back with a presentation, music, food and drink.
St David’s Hospice Care Director of Fundraising Kris Broome added:
"Last summer the Dragons Charity Bike Ride raised over £12,000 for St David¹s. We are delighted to have been able to bring people together again this year for a really enjoyable weekend of sporting and social activity."
