Dragons U16s Training Squad Announced

Players from across the Region have been chosen to compete in the WRU Super Series competition over Easter.

Players were selected based on their performance in the first two regional age grade blocks as well as their potential for future performance.

Dragons Academy Manager James Chapron commented; “The U16s competition is getting stronger and stronger each year and the quality of player is increasing.

"The way the season has been structured, it allows the coaches to take a longer look at players over an eight month period. The coaches work towards idetifiying players with the potential to become future Dragons and so their performance in games, and more importantly, their application in training is closely monitored.

"I am looking forward to a high-quality competition this year”. 

The squad begin training on Monday 20^th March and play four fixtures:

Saturday 8^th April        Scotland Development (in RGC)

Friday 14^th April          Ospreys U16s (19:15 in Ystrad Mynach)

Tuesday 18^th April       Scarlets U16s (St Helens, Swansea)

Saturday 22^nd April     Blues (Parc y Scarlets)
