Dragons are back on home soil for the final Welsh derby of 2018 on Sunday when they face Ospreys at Rodney Parade (kick-off 3pm).
And ahead of the final fixture of the calendar year, Jones has admitted that although the performance against Cardiff Blues was a positive it is now about nailing down a derby win.
"We understand more than anyone else that we haven’t won one of these games for a while. We need to nail one down,” said Jones.
“I will not shy away from the fact that it's a results business. As good as the performance was at Cardiff Blues, we all need that result.
"It was really unfortunate that we didn't get more out of the Blues game, but that's gone now and we have to forget about that and focus on the weeks to come.
"It was a really good performance from the whole team. We've just got to repeat that, I have spoken to the players about making sure it wasn't a one-off.”
