The youngster, who suffered his ankle injury against the Ospreys in October, is joined in the match-day 23 by Dan Suter, who will make his Dragons bow after recovering from an ankle injury which he sustained during a friendly against Exeter Chiefs.
The 24-year-old prop was signed by the Dragons in the Summer from Guinness PRO14 champions Scarlets.
Last weekend saw Harri Keddie, Zane Kirchner and Calvin Wellington return from injury, to play in the Anglo-Welsh Cup competition.
“We will stick Tyler on the bench and give him some game time, we just need to ease him back into it because he has been out for quite some time,” said Dragons forwards coach Ceri Jones.
“It’s lovely to see him back on the pitch, as it is Dan Suter because we have badly missed them over this period.
“Dan is a great lad and it’s just a matter of him trying to put a run of performances together to show us what he is made
“He is just a very honest player in everything he does. He comes in every day and works really hard, he knuckles down and everything that you ask of him he gives 100 percent.”
