Griffiths returned to the team and produced an inspired performance to claim the man-of-the-match award as Dragons won 18-12 after a tense encounter.
“It was a great win. A bit close for comfort at the end, but we managed to get the job done,” he told Dragons TV.
“We’ve put a lot of time into our defence last two weeks. There are still areas to work on, but it’s a massive step forward defensively.
“We’ve had time to work on things and the Russia game and this week we have a good training week and it showed tonight.
“Next week we have Leinster and that will be a different challenge all together. But we will be back in Tuesday, put a game plan in place and hopefully we can get something from that game.”
