The wraps are off the home and away kits for the 2019/20 season – and this year our striking new designs also proudly feature vital local charities.
All three kits – including a soon to be revealed third strip – will feature the logos of charities supported by Dragons this campaign.
The new all black home kit carries the distinct logo of Sparkle – Helping Special Children Shine.
As the Serennu Children’s Centre’s official main charity, Sparkle have to raise more than £600,000 every year to fund the vital services they support. That is only possible through generous donations and the help of the general public.
The centre provides access to many different services and care from doctors, therapists, nurses and psychologists to social workers, family liaison officers and play workers all under one roof. This means children don’t have to travel to different places for their treatment and care, providing consistency and support to the whole family. More than 300 children visit the centre every week. For more information on Sparkle visit www.sparkleappeal.org
The new blue away kit features the logo of St David’s Hospice Care.
St. David's provides hospice care to over 2,000 people with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, including access to the Newport Day Hospice and the new 15 bed in-patient unit.
The charity provides, and continues to develop, a free and comprehensive palliative care service of excellence throughout Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport, Torfaen and beyond for people, their families and carers facing a progressive life-limiting illness which is no longer curable. Rodney Parade hosted the charities music festival Portstock this summer. For more information on St. David's Hospice Care visit www.stdavidshospicecare.org
The third charity Shelter Cymru was selected in partnership with principal sponsors Monmouthshire Building Society, who with the help of their staff and members, will support the charity this season through their branches and outreach work. Visit www.sheltercymru.org.uk for more information.
Dragons will now work with the chosen charities throughout the 2019/20 campaign to raise awareness and vital funds through various fundraising activities. Keep checking back at www.dragonsrugby.wales for the very latest.
