Hooker Elliot Dee has spoken of his pride as he prepares to hit a century of appearances at Dragons.
Front row ace Dee - who made his regional debut against Mogliano Rugby in October 2013 - is set to hit the milestone when Dragons tackle Worcester Warriors at Rodney Parade on Friday (kick-off 8pm).
And the Wales international is keen to make it a night to remember as Dragons hunt a victory that will keep them to of Pool 1 and move them a step closer to a place in the knockout stages.
“I’m massively proud to get to the 100 mark - it is something I have been chasing for a few years now,” said Dee.
“I had a few injuries at the start of my career and I’ve been in and out of the environment at Dragons the last couple of years with Wales so it is something I have been chasing up.
“My dream was to play for the Dragons once so to get to 100 is going to be a very proud moment for me,” he added.
“You play sport to hit milestones and when you hit them you set new ones.
“It’s going to be a proud moment for me, but it is also an important game and we are going out there to target the win.
“It will be nice to run out and hit the milestone, but then it is game faces on and into the game.
“It’s been a fast and manic few years, I haven’t really had much time to look back and reflect, but I am enjoying the ride and going forward.”
Looking ahead to the clash on Friday night, Dee admits the magnitude of the fixture is not lost on the squad.
“We are aware that Friday is big for us,” he said. “We need to get the win and that will hopefully put us in good stead to get into the knockout stages of Europe.
“We have got a job to do and I think everyone is really focussed.
“We went up there and it was a tough slog for 60 minutes with 14 men,” he added.
“In the past if that had happened away from home maybe we would have let it slip. It was a big plus getting that point and staying within six, it was a game I felt we could have even won.
"It will be interesting on Friday night and we are all raring to go.”
