Lock Joe Davies praised the forward pack for ‘putting things right’ as they stunned Glasgow Warriors on home soil.
Dean Ryan’s men had opened the Guinness PRO14 season om home soil with defeat to Connacht.
But after two-week of preparation, they hit back by defeating Glasgow 18-5 with the forwards really impressing.
“The forwards dug in hard and it was pretty much a units session out here with scrums and lineout drives,” said Davies.
“We have been working hard for this last two weeks to put the Connacht performance right and we did that.
“We stuck to our game plan,” he added. “We said we would be tight and dominant and we chucked that up front and took them around the park."
The result completed a busy week for Davies, who welcomed a new baby boy – James – into the world with partner Katy on Tuesday.
“It’s been great. I’ve had a little boy and he is a big old lumper at 11lb 4oz so he takes after his old man,” he smiled.
