MINUTE’S SILENCE FOR BROOKE MORRIS
Everyone at Dragons was deeply saddened by the recent passing of Brooke Morris, who had represented Dragons Women. Our sincere condolences to her family and friends, to her club Nelson RFC Belles who will our guests on matchday, and the community in Trelewis. We ask all supporters to join us ahead of kick-off on Saturday as we hold a moments silence to remember her.
GUARD OF HONOUR (supported by Wilko: The home of family value)
We will be welcome youngsters from a number of our regional U8 teams, who are also playing in a pre-match tag festival. We will extend a warm welcome to the players, coaches and parents from NHSOB, Caldicot, Whiteheads, Croesyceiliog, Penallta, Ebbw Vale, Blackwood, Cwmbran, Bargoed, Chepstow, Oakdale and St Julians. Give them a big cheer as they enter the field of play to welcome both teams onto the pitch.
CHARITY COLLECTION
The match day collection will be for Guide Dogs Cymru. Dragons Official Supporters Club (DOSC) committee member Christian Hyde is aiming to raise £5,000 to name a guide dog puppy after his first guide dog Sasha, who was instrumental in giving Christian the confidence and independence to follow rugby again at Rodney Parade. Please give generously.
NO DISRESPECT PLAYING
Performing before and after the game in the fanzone marquee is south Wales covers band No Disrespect. Join them for a boogie.
BARS
Public Bars inside the ground open at 2pm with the fanzone marquee open from 12noon.
CASHLESS STADIUM
Supporters are reminded that all Rodney Parade bars will be cashless for the 2019/20 season - with only card or mobile payment now accepted. Rodney Parade is striving to deliver the best possible fan experience at our iconic home, so starting from today’s double-header with Scarlets, bars within the stadium will no longer accept cash. The venue has operated cashless payment since the start of the season for away football supporters travelling to Rodney Parade and this is now being rolled out across the stadium. All major contactless debit and credit cards will be accepted, with chip and pin applying for purchases over £30. Mobile payments, including Apple Pay and Google Pay will also be able to be used.
