Coach Barry Maddocks praised the return of Ollie Griffiths after the back row forward produced a man-of-the-match show against Glasgow Warriors.
Griffiths had been ruled out of action since the opening day league defeat to Munster in Ireland.
But the Number Eight was back and at his barnstorming best against the Warriors as he picked up the Guinness PRO14 man-of-the-match award and inspired Dragons to a 18-5 success on home soil.
“We know that Ollie is an outstanding player,” said Maddocks. “He leads from the front with his performances and the match against Glasgow was another Ollie Griffiths’ performance.
“Getting him consistently on the pitch is the next thing for him. He has been really unfortunate with picking up injuries, but that is the way he plays the game.
“He is physical and at the front of everything. You expect nothing less every time he takes the field. We’d love him to be able to put a run of games together so hopefully he gets a bit of luck.”
Dragons are next in action on home soil on Saturday, November 16 when they face Castres in the European Challenge Cup at Rodney Parade. Click HERE to buy online and enjoy Early Bird discounted prices!
