Another packed weekend of live Guinness PRO14 rugby coverage awaits supporters on Premier Sports with six derbies to conclude the regular season before four top teams battle it out in the Final Series to claim the Championship crown.
Leinster, Ulster and Edinburgh have already secured semi-final places with Munster in poll position to join them.
However, the Scarlets could still edge in front to claim a fourth spot if they win a fierce derby battle against the Dragons who are on home soil and if Munster lose to Connacht.
All eyes will be on those two big matches but with four other entertaining derby matches set to take place, it’s set to be an exciting finish.
Premier Sports is celebrating with a special offer for rugby supporters to watch every game live for the remainder of this season and next for just 50p a game.
Premier Sports has teamed up with Ulster, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff Blues, Dragons, Scarlets, Ospreys and Guinness PRO14 for the unique £80 offer(*) with £10 going straight back to supporters’ club from Premier Sports as a contribution to their favourite team during difficult times.
All supporters need to do is use their club’s promo code on subscription. It all kicks off on Friday night as the two Scottish clubs meet for the 4th and final time this season with Glasgow Warriors needing to win in order to draw the 1872 Cup mini-series 2-2. Edinburgh came from behind in the final quarter last weekend to secure a 30-15 victory and the 1872 Cup, and they have a Guinness PRO14 Semi-Final against Ulster to look forward to.
On Saturday Dragons host Scarlets with the visitors needing a victory to keep themselves in the race. The Dragons are at home and showed their spirit securing a last minute try to draw their Welsh derby against the Ospreys last weekend, and they have beaten Scarlets in each of their last two meetings. Tune in to Premier Sports 1 for thrilling night of live Welsh derby action from 4.45pm.
It could be a rehearsal for the final as Ulster and Leinster meet on Saturday afternoon with both teams already secured in the semi-final mix. Leinster have been victorious in every match this season, although Ulster held them tight in their first encounter this season with a 54-42 score line. However, Ulster will know they’re in for a battle at the Aviva Stadium having won just once in five league meetings against the Irish province.
Munster need a win against a buoyant Connacht side on Sunday afternoon to secure their semi-final place but don’t expect this to be a foregone conclusion, even if Munster do hold the advantage, winning each of their last four Guinness PRO14 matches against Connacht.
Sunday also brings Welsh derby entertainment, with pride and points to climb final league positions at stake as Cardiff Blues take on Ospreys (Premier Sports 1 from 4.30pm) followed by Zebre against Benetton in Parma live on Premier Sports 2 from 6.55pm.
