Hundreds of thousands of motorists will get a special warm welcome to Wales this weekend – courtesy of our new signing Jamie Roberts!
A massive image of the Wales and British & Irish Lions star, who this week agreed a sensational move to Rodney Parade, now stands proudly next to the M4 thanks to our long-standing partners Niche IFA.
Niche – the award-winning firm of Chartered Financial Planners – have installed a huge 32 square metre LED screen by the Brynglas Tunnels.
The screen is the most high-definition of its type on the whole of the UK road network and will be seen by an average of 117,000 cars every single day.
And this weekend – as we celebrate our continued partnership – it will new recruit Jamie Roberts who greets visitors as they pass Newport.
Jonathan Westwood, Commercial Director at Dragons, said: “It’s fantastic that Dragons and Niche have come together to welcome visitors coming over the bridge and really celebrate Jamie’s arrival.
“The screen is sure to become an eye-catching landmark as people pass Newport and we would like to thank Ray Adams and all the team at Niche for their continued support of our region.”
Ray Adams, Chartered Financial Planner and Chairman of Niche, hopes the screen will give a new platform for local businesses and charities to get their message across.
“We've retained 50% of the inventory purely for our own use and I would love to promote local charities, events and companies,” he said.
“We want to get the message out to the 117,000 cars a day, which are currently driving past, and get this screen shouting out about how fantastic our area is and how fantastic businesses are in this area.”
