Dragons Community has welcomed a new community partner, Astro Technology Group, who are providing valuable support to our outreach activation programme, and in particular our Phoenix Homeless rugby team.
The provisions will now feature brand-new Astro branded rugby balls to upskill participants.
Mike Sage, Dragons Community Manager, commented: “Astro is a very welcome addition to our team and, with their association with our Dragons Phoenix partner, Newport City Homes, this is a perfect fit to enhance our provision and safeguard its future.
“Your support is very much valued by our region and we welcome you to our Dragons Family.”
Steve Hodges, Chief Executive of Astro Technology Group, said: “We are absolutely delighted to become a Dragons Community partner and to be supporting their engagement programme and the homeless rugby team, Dragons Phoenix.
“Astro has a long-standing relationship with Dragons, and a broad customer base in South Wales, so contributing to the local community is extremely important to me and my fellow board members.
“We believe that the values rugby instils, and the importance of team sports, sit perfectly with our organisation beliefs and therefore this partnership is perfect.”
