Two-try hero Adam Warren insisted a patient approach had been rewarded as Dragons defeated Enisei-STM and booked a place in the quarter-finals of the European Challenge Cup.
Warren grabbed a second half brace in a 47-5 home win as Dragons finished in runners-up spot in Pool 1.
Dean Ryan’s men can now look forward to tan away clash in the quarter-finals in April.
“We didn't have a clue with what was happening at Worcester, we knew we had a big game to try to get five points to have a chance of qualification anyway and we concentrated on that,” said Warren.
"We knew we had to be patient, we didn't want to over-play too early and we did build into the game quite well.
"We set ourselves a target to try to get through the group, and we did everything to achieve that. It means loads, it keeps our season alive.
"It's nice to know you've got a chance to play quarter-final rugby and we don't want to stop there, we want to keep progressing through the competition."
