Dragons are delighted to announce the signing of the Fry brothers – Ben and Harry!
Back row forward Ben, 21, has committed his long-term future after putting pen to paper on a first professional contact with the region.
Younger brother Harry, 19, is also becoming a Dragon as the prop will make the move from Gloucester Rugby, where he was part of the Academy set-up.
Dean Ryan, Director of Dragons Rugby, said: “I have been impressed by Ben’s attitude and he has an edge to his game.
“At Dragons it is vitally important we retain and develop our best young talent and Ben is a part of that process.
“Harry is a young loosehead that we’re looking forward to bringing back to Wales and into our environment, where he will learn from the senior professionals around him.”
Back row Ben has already made four senior appearances for Dragons. The Dragons Academy graduate made his regional debut against Timisoara Saracens in the European Challenge Cup in 2018, scoring a second half try.
“I’m really pleased to sign my first professional contract with Dragons,” said Ben.
“Things are really improving under Dean (Ryan) and I’m really excited to take this next step and be a part of it going forward.”
Harry was registered by Gloucester in last season’s Heineken Champions Cup, featured for Hartpury in the English Championship and has previously represented England at Under-18 level.
“I’m buzzing to have signed for Dragons and looking forward to seeing what challenges and opportunities are ahead of me,” he said.
“It’s a team that is growing with a lot of ambition and promise so I’m looking forward to getting started.”
