Dragons duo Nick Tompkins and Aaron Wainwright both featured off the bench as Wales ended their Guinness Six Nations campaign with defeat as they were beaten 14-10 by Scotland at Parc y Scarlets.
A try from replacement hooker Stuart McInally and nine points from the boots of Finn Russell, Adam Hastings and Stuart Hogg was enough to earn Scotland their first win in Wales since 2002.
Rhys Carre crossed for Wales’ only try of the game with Dan Biggar and Leigh Halfpenny kicking five points between them.
Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones made rugby history as he became the most capped player of all time surpassing New Zealand great Richie McCaw with 149 caps including nine for the British & Irish Lions.
Wales are next in action on Friday, November 13 (kick-off 7pm) when they face Ireland away in the Autumn Nations Cup.
