Dragons duo Aaron Wainwright and Nick Tompkins both started as France beat Wales 38-21 in Paris on Saturday night in a warm-up clash ahead of the Six Nations.
Les Bleus ran in five tries in the victory in what was the 100th meeting between the two countries on a night when the Welsh skipper, Alun Wyn Jones, marked his world record equalling 148th Test appearance, drawing level with New Zealand former skipper Richie McCaw.
It was France scrum-half Antoine Dupont who inspired his side to victory in the warm-up clash behind closed doors.
Dupont scored two tries and created another for captain Charles Ollivon, with Cyril Baille and Teddy Thomas also crossing.
Leigh Halfpenny scored a try for Wales inside the opening minute as the visitors built an early 10-point lead. But it was a fourth successive defeat for Wales under head coach Wayne Pivac.
