Dragons will kick-off the new Guinness PRO14 season with a clash against reigning league champions Leinster Rugby in Dublin.
The fixtures for the opening 11 rounds of the competition were announced today (Wednesday) and see Dean Ryan’s men face a huge opening day test at the RDS Arena on Friday, October 2 (kick-off 8.15pm).
Italian outfit Zebre will be the first team to visit Rodney Parade on Friday, October 9 (kick-off 8.15pm) before Dragons head to the Kingspan Stadium to tackle Ulster Rugby on Sunday, October 25 (kick-off 3pm).
Back-to-back home games with Irish provinces in early November see Munster arrive on Sunday, November 1 (kick-off 2pm) and Connacht on Saturday, November 7 (kick-off 5.15pm).
Scotstoun Stadium and the Glasgow Warriors will entertain Ryan’s men on Sunday, November 15 (kick-off 6.30pm).
Dragons play a first league game on a Monday evening on November 23 when Edinburgh Rugby are the visitors (kick-off 6pm).
The following week it is Monday night rugby again, this time in Italy, as Dragons face Benetton Rugby at Stadio Monigo (kick-off 6pm UK time).
After two rounds of Heineken Cup action in December, attention turns to the Welsh regional derbies over the festive period.
Dragons welcome Cardiff Blues to Rodney Parade in Round 9 (December 26/27) before kicking off 2021 at Parc y Scarlets in Round 10 (January 2/3). Dragons will host Ospreys at Rodney Parade in Round 11 (January 9/10).
