Boss Dean Ryan has praised the ‘outstanding’ form of back row Ross Moriarty – and revealed how the Wales international is growing in authority at the region.
Moriarty has played in the last four games for Dragons after recovering from injury and was prominent again in the Guinness PRO14 Rainbow Cup win over Scarlets.
His displays have also caught the eye of Director of Dragons Rugby Ryan who has spoken about the impact Moriarty is now having both on and off the field at the region.
"I've seen over the last month a level of intensity that I haven't really seen in him," said Ryan.
“He's enjoying his rugby, I enjoy coaching him, there's a lot we can bounce off, knock ideas around on how he can improve.
"He's a fundamental of any side in the way that he plays. For me, he's a great central core of what we're trying to do.
"He's growing in authority which is something I wouldn't use with Ross a couple of years ago,” added Ryan.
“He tends to keep himself to himself, but he's learning to lead through example, and I think he's been fantastic.
"I'm sure that'll create headlines around who should play for Wales, that's for other people to decide. He has been outstanding for us."
