The United Rugby Championship (URC) derby between Dragons Rugby and Cardiff Rugby on New Year’s Day will be played behind closed doors with no supporters in attendance, following the latest Welsh Government guidelines.
Dragons have been in dialogue with the Welsh Government and other major stakeholders regarding the potential introduction of Covid-19 measures for our opening fixture of 2022.
In a move aimed at controlling the spread of the new omicron variant, it was announced at midnight on Monday (December 20) that all indoor and outdoor sporting events must be played without spectators from Boxing Day.
As a result of that announcement, we will be in contact with Season Members, match-ticket purchasers and our hospitality and community guests in the coming days regarding the refund policy for this fixture.
We thank you for your support and patience as we work through the process of contacting all supporters and match day guests prior to Christmas.
