The first-ever Dragons Virtual Cup has had an amazing start with many close encounters and superb community support throughout the 64 Round One matches.
The stats for Round One are as follows:
ROUND ONE:

- 64 Matches
- 16,683 Twitter Votes
- 456,590 Twitter Impressions
This season due to the Covid-19 pandemic the Dragons Cup could not take place as normal – so instead the Dragons Community team in association with District A GMG and supported by our Community Headline partner, Centerprise International, launched the Virtual Cup with 128 teams from Under-12s to Under-17s and youth and girls’ hubs all competing in twitter online voting to see who progresses!
Supporters, players and families can all get involved with the polling on the Dragons Community twitter account – DRA_Community.
The aim of the cup is to provide some inspiration and engagement during these challenging times and our clubs have certainly embraced this beyond our expectations and a massive thank you to all the teams involved and the army of support that they have attracted.
Congratulations to our Round One Winners who will now progress to Round Two, which kicks-off on Monday 15th February at 10am.
