Dragons centre Aneurin Owen has today (Tuesday) officially been called into the Wales squad fior the upcoming Summer internationals with Argentina.
Owen replaces Leigh Halfpenny who has been ruled out after sustaining a knee ligament injury against Canada on Saturday. The fullback will require surgery with further assessments to determine his long-term prognosis and management.
Owen, who has been training with the squad as an attached player, has now been added as Halfpenny’s replacement.
A total of ten Dragons are now involved for Wales with Owen joining Elliot Dee, Leon Brown, Will Rowlands, Ben Carter, Taine Basham, Ross Moriarty, Aaron Wainwright, Rhodri Williams and Jonah Holmes.
