Prop Lloyd Fairbrother is set for an enforced spell on the sidelines after suffering an Achilles injury in the Guinness PRO14 Rainbow Cup defeat to Glasgow Warriors.
Fairbrother - who has made 142 senior appearances for Dragons and 17 this season – suffered a ruptured Achilles in the second half of the game at Cardiff City Stadium.
The 29-year-old will now undergo surgery today (Friday) before starting his rehabilitation and recovery process.
Dean Ryan, Director of Dragons Rugby, said: “It’s disappointing news for Lloyd who has had another very strong season for us.
“We send our best wishes to Lloyd for his surgery and recovery as he starts his journey back from this injury.”
