Wales international Ben Carter returns to the starting line-up as Dragons face Scarlets in a United Rugby Championship derby at Parc y Scarlets on Saturday evening (kick-of 7.35pm).
Boss Dean Ryan makes four changes to his team with Carter recalled to partner international team-mate Will Rowlands in the second row.
Aki Seiuli props down up front alongside Elliot Dee and Leon Brown. Greg Bateman misses the game with a shoulder injury.
Rio Dyer is named on the wing with Jonah Holmes ruled out with a hamstring strain.
The final change is a recall for Josh Lewis at full back. Jordan Williams is out of the game following illness this week.
Loosehead Josh Reynolds is called-up to take this place among the replacements, where he is joined by scrum half Rhodri Williams who this week agreed a new contract with the region.
Ross Moriarty, Ollie Griffiths, Aneurin Owen and Ashton Hewitt are among those that remain unavailable for selection as they continue to recover from injuries.
Ryan said: “We’re looking forward to the derby and the first part of the double-header over the next two weekends.
“Scarlets have had a traditional look to them in recent times and can counter-attack at real pace, but they also a real threat around the drive.
“If they get go-forward they have a lot of pace out of the back, so we’re well aware that we need to stifle opportunities. We’ve got to stop them getting momentum in the game.
“They have come out the back of the South Africa trip and have undoubtedly found some real form in recent weeks so we need to be at our best,” he added.
